Denial
Gaslighters will always try to deny the truth. They become extremely aggressive when someone reveals their true intentions. If you figured out that the individual is a typical gaslighter and is playing with your mind, then watch his reaction when you tell him you know it all about his plans. Usually there are a few reasons why a gaslighter abuses and uses you. He has some sort of benefit from it and using you as a tool to achieve his own goals. Stay alert and remember that denial is also a red flag.

They claim they are your only reliable friends
Pitting his victim against everyone else is another thing a gaslighter does when he wants to control your behavior and make you believe that everyone is your enemy and that the only person you can fully rely on is the gaslighter himself. This is just a form of lying and you must not believe the person’s behavior. The world is a friendly place and you cannot be hated by others out of the blue. The gaslighter will give your examples and ‘proofs’, but all those facts are fake so ignore them. Be friendly with all people and avoid possible conflicts.
