Dishwashers can ruin some certain items. Before you put anything in your dishwasher, make sure the thing does not belong to the list below.

1. Items Made Of Wood

Wooden spoons and boards that are made of wood should not be put in the dishwasher. Wood loses its shape if it gets into a wet environment. It may crack, contract or expands. They also absorb bacteria more easily. Wash wooden utensils by hand.

2. Insulated Mugs

Remember that insulated mugs and thermoses should be washed by hand. Put your insulated containers into the dishwasher if there is a special sign on it. Otherwise you’ll simply ruin the thing.
