3. Doing preparatory work
Preparatory work done beforehand will significantly make your life easier. Do as much as you can before the holiday rather than a day or two before the great event. Prepare a few dishes that can be frozen or kept in the fridge. If you try to accomplish everything in one day, you will feel totally exhausted on Thanksgiving Day. Make salads and desserts. Some snacks can also stay fresh for a few days. When the actual day of the celebration approaches all you’ll need to do is to put the rest of your dishes in the oven and your meal will be ready.
4. Enlisting help
If the party is going to consists of many people, you will definitely need an assistant or two to help you with the preparations. Ask your spouse or kids to help you in the kitchen. They can clean the house if they cannot cook. Ask your best friend to participate in the process. Give instructions and control how everything is done. Everything will be completed in a much shorter period of time.
