Find a furry four-legged buddy. That might be a cat or a dog. Also, if you wish, you can keep a fish tank, a parrot or any other kind of pet. Taking care of your pet will balance your blood pressure, improve your mood and make your life more meaningful. Your pet will give you an additional reason to get some exercise.
4. A wider social network
Build a stronger social network. We cannot deny that family and friends are important. However, we cannot avoid meeting strangers and people we know very little. Join a class or a group where you’ll meet people of various ages and professions. Make good contacts and keep in touch with them. Be friendly and helpful to them.
